RESOLUTION 04-95
SUPPORTING THE GRAND COUNTY SPECIAL SERVICE HOSPITAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, Allen Memorial Hospital provides medical and health
care services to the citizens and visitors of Grand County; and
WHEREAS, Allen Memorial Hospital is in need of capital
equipment and building renovations to bring the facility into
compliance with State of Utah Department of Health codes and to
revitalize medical and health services for Grand County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Moab supports all efforts by the Hospital
District to secure funding for the needed improvements and
equipment,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE FOLLOWING IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Moab
City Council:
(1) The City supports the Hospital District's funding
applications to finance building renovations and capital equipment
for Allen Memorial Hospital.
(2) If necessary, the City will dedicate its future State of
Utah Community Development Block Grants to the Hospital District
for repayment of loans that may be secured to finance necessary
renovations and equipment.
