The new board war; called to order. by Fayor Girardot at 9:30 P.M.
Upon roll call the following members were found present: Anderson,
Hasbrouck, Peterson, Sivers, Smith, and Young. Absent none.
C.L.Neisler, a Notary Public was present and adninistered the oath of
office to F.R. Girardot to serve as Mayor for the term of one year, and
C .W. Young, T.H.peterson, and R. E. five's to serve as Trustees for the term
of two years each.
Mayor Girardot then appointed the following cotmittees for the year.
FI NATTC R & PRI +' TING; Hasbrouck, Young, Anderson.
WATER WORKS: Young, Hasbrouck, Smith.
STREET & ALLEY, Anderson, Smith, Sivers,
CEMETERY & PARKS; Peterson, Young, Sivers.
POLICE; Sivers, Hasbrouck, Peterson.
JUDICIARY; Smith, Peterson, Anderson.
MAYOR PROTEMPORE; R. E. Sivers.
The application of Lee Tomson for the position of Nightwatch was then
read and ordered tabled.
The application of Martin Janssen for the position of Park Sup' t was
read. Sivers moved, Young seconded that the application of Janssen be accepted
at the s kl.ary of $100.00 per month. All present voted yea.
Hasbrouck moved Anderson seconded that Dr. A.C.McCain be appoint d Town
Physican. All present voted yea.
Smith moved, Young seconded that J.D.Sivers be anointe Town Cl rk for
ie coming year. All pre=sent voted yea.
Hasbrouck moved, Anderson, seconded that Arthur Bec be appointed Town Tre-
asure-rfc r the coming year. All present voted yea.
Sivers moved, seconded by Peterson that C.H.Frye be appointed Police
Magistrate for another year. All present voted yea.
Anderson reporter1 that the trees for the park had not been secured as yet
but that the committee was decided as to the number and kind of trees to
plant. The Mayor then suggested that this matter be taken care of at once by
the new domni t tee.
The Street & Alley committee was instructed to have a tile placed in the
ditch at the intersection of B street and the State highway.
The various other committees and their problems were discussed at lenght
by the board.
Card playing, general lawlessness and Town clean-up day was also discuss-
ed. No action Was taken.
As there was no further business to come before the meeting it was
dismissed.

May 4th,1926
A regular meeting of theBoard of Trustees of the Town of Ault was
called to order by Mayor Girardot at 8:00 P.M.
Upon roll call the following mem?)ers were found. present, Anderson,
Hasbrouck, Peterson, Smith, Young. Absent Sivers.
The minutes of the preceed..;, ng meeting were read and with one correction
were approved.
Mr. Paterson of the Automatic Signal & Sign Co. was present, also Mr.
Straight and Mr. Powers. Mr Pater Son described an Automatic Traffic control
signal, half the cost of which would be borne by the County in the event
the council decided to install one in Ault. It was decided to wait and
see how the same signal would oppe:rate after it was installed in Eaton.
Anderson reort-;d that the tile had been put in at the intersection of
B street and the State Highway and that the tile across the Cemetery road
would be put in, in the near future.
