A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO EXCEL PAVING
COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 47,211.00 FOR THE
ARLINGTON AVENUE RCONSTRUCTION PROJECT, PROJECT
NUMBER 5-5198, FISCAL YEAR 1996-97, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Arlington Avenue Reconstruction Project, Project Number
5-5198 is scheduled for completion during FY 1996-97 and is funded by Gas Tax; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on June 10, 1997, and Excel Paving Co.
was the lowest qualified bidder at $ 47,211.00; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the necessary
experience for this type of project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,

proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the Arlington Avenue Reconstruction Project,
Project Number 5-5198, be awarded to Excel Paving Co. for its low bid of $ 47,211.00.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement between
the City of Lynwood and Excel Paving Co.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
