A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, A PUBLIC BODY APPROVING A
HOME CONTRACT AND ADMINISTRATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
PURSUANT TO TITLE 24 CFR, PART 92, TO CARRY OUT CERTAIN HOUSING
RELATED ACTIVITIES PURSUANT TO HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
REGULATIONS AND TO COMMIT THE CITY OF LYNWOOD 1995, AND 1996
HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP CHDO ALLOCATION.
WIIEREAS, The Ciry of Lynwood has received HOME Funds, a federal fomiula grant
allocation, from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to carty out certain eligible
affordable housing activities in accordance with federal program requirements at 24 CFR 92; and
WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood has received $$72,150 for the 1995 HOME CHDO
Allocation, $36,350 for the 1996 HOME CHDO Allocation, and
WHEREAS, the Ciry of Lynwood is required to commit the 1995 HOME CHDO allocation to a
project or contract with a subrecipient by July 30,1997 , in accordance with HUD guidelines ; and
WHEREAS, The Ciry proposes to enter into a HOME Contract and Administrafion Agreement
with the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency , a qualified subiecipient, to assist the Ciry in carrying out the
HOME requirements of providing affordable housing opportunities to low and very low income
residents; and
WHEREAS, The Ciry proposes to commit the 1995, and 1996, HOME Investment monies to the
Lynwood Redevelopment Agency pu~suant to the agreement and within the HiJD HOME guideline ; and
NOW, THEREFORE the City Council of the Ciry of Lynwood does hereby resolve as follows :
Seetion 1. That the Ciry Council approves the HOME Conhact and Administration Agreement by and
between the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency and the City to commit $72,150 of the 1995 Home
Investrnent Paztnetship Allocation, and $36,350 of the 1996 HOME Investment Partnership Allocation to
be used in accordance with regulations established by the Department of Urban Development pursuant to
Title 24 CFR part 92.
Section 2. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adopuon.
