Sivers :owed, seconded by Anderson that the bills be allowed as read and
warrants drawn on the Treasurer for the same. All present voted Aye.
Changing the fiscal year to end December. 31 instead of ,arch 31 was
discussed. Mr Smith introduced the following Ordinance, recently adopted
by the city of Rocky Ford, which was read for the first time at this
meeting;

VheTeas the Statutes of the State of Colorado fixes the beginning of
the Fiscal year for all incorporated towns and cities, organized under
the laws of the state, as the first day of April, each year;
And Whereas the Board of Trustees believes it to be to the best int-
erest of the Town to have the date changed to the first of . Jan uary, and
it has in view of such change' passed and adopted the annual appropriation
bill for the year 1926. Therefore:
Section 1. Be it ordained by the Board of Trustees of the Town of
Ault, that the date of the beginning of the Fiscal Year of the Town be and
the same is changed from the first day of Arril to the first day of
January in each year.
Section 2. That the financial business of the Town be hereafter con-
ducted and executed in accordance with such change of time of the beginn-
ingof the fiscal year.
The matter of truckers peddling fruit, etc, without a license was
discussed at length. It was decided that this practice should be stopped.
Closing of the stores on Sunday discussed. The Marshal was instructed
to see that the Ordinance in regard to this practice was strictly enforc-
ed.
The following subjects were also discussed; Appointment of a Vice -
Police Judge, Cutting down of cotton bearing trees, trimming of trees
that overhang sidwakks, but no action was taken.
Hasbrouck moved, Smith seconded that the meeting adjourn subject to
the call of the Mayor. All present voted Aye.

R_EFGU AR MEETING Aug.3,1926
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Ault was
called to order by Ma -,,-or Girardot at 8:00 P.P.. on the above date.
Upon roll call the following members were found present, Andersons Pete-
rson, Sivers, Young. Absent Hasbrouck and Smith.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved as read.
Anderson reported that the matter of paving the corner at the banks
had been taken up --pith Mr.Duncan, but teat no bids hay' been submitted.
The committee was to continue with this work.
Mr Smith came in at this time.
Mr. Smith preented a notice published in the Eaton paper in regard to
trimming trees. This matter was discussed at length. The Board decided
to 111V9 the same notice put in the paper here.
Mr. Hasbrouck came in at this time.
