HomeMy Public PortalAboutPAGE 104104 SPECIAL MEETING Aug. ,18, J 926 A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Ault was called to order by Mayor Girardot at 8:00 P.M. Upon roll call the following members were found present, Hasbrouck, Smith and Sivers. Absent Anderson, Peterson, Young. The Mayor stated that the meeting had been called for the purpose of appointing a Police Magistrate. This matter was discussed at length. Anderson and Young came in during this discussion. Anderson moved, Smith seconded, that J.D.Sivers be appointed Police Magistrate of the Town of Ault. All present voted Aye. Tree trimming was again discussed. The clerk was instructed to have another notice in regard to this put in the paper. The prevailing price of gasoline was discussed. No action taken. Sivers moved, Smith seconded, that the meeting adjourn subject to the call of the Mayor. All present voted Aye. All present voted Aye. The contract with the Telephone Co. in regard to the installation of the police light was read and discussed. Young moved, Smith seconded that the contract be accepted and that the Mayor and Clerk be empowered to sign and return same to ' the Telephone Co. All present voted Aye. Placing of signs over the Highway discussed at length. Moving of the large Ault Welcome sign also discussed. Hasbrouck moved, seconded by Smith, that the matter of placing the Police ligt as wel.L as moving of signs be turned over to the Street & Alley committee. All present voted Aye. Mr. Curry then/brought up the matter of childern frequenting pool halls. This was discussed at length and turned over to the Police committee to investigate. A let,e r form ?-jr. DuVali in regard to a possible sale of the pum Ming outfit recently purchased was read. The clerk was instructed to write to Sidney Neb. and Lodgepole Neb. and securer,a11. the information possible in regard to the sale of this outfit. The condition of the buli ding north of the Ault Advertiser was mentioned It was decided to have this building inspected and either condemn it or have it put in a safe condition. Hasbrouck moved, Anderson seconded, that a deed.; to lot 5 in section 7 of block 3 in, the Ault Cemetery be issued to S.M.Bushong of Ft.Lupton. All present voted Aye.
