A RESOLUTION OF THE CITy COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
REPEALING SECTIONS 3 AND 4 OF RESOLUTION NO. 94154 RELATING
TO THE $2.95 TOTAL MONTffi,Y FEE FOR THE RESIDENTIAL CURBSIDE
RECYCLING PROGRAM, AND ENVIRONMENTAL SURCHARGE, AND
DECLARING THAT REPEAL TO BE EFFECTIVE UPON VOTER APPROVAL
OF PROPOSITION B
Tf~ CTTY COUNCIL OF TI~ CTTY OF LYNWOOD RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
S ion 1. Conditioned upon voter approval of Proposition B as specified below
in Section 2, the City Council repeals Sections 3 and 4 of Resolution No. 94154, as
adopted on September 20, 1994, which Sections 3 and 4 currently provide as foltows:
Secdon 3. Rate for AB 939 E»vironmental Surciwrre shall be $0.40 per momh
per single family dwelling and per unit for multi-family dwellings to pay for
adminisuation of the State mandated AB939 program.
Section 4. Rate for Curbside Recvcling Pro,gram shall be $2.55 per month per
single family dwelling and per unit for multi-family dwellings, in order to provide
for a residential curbside recycling program to include alt reporting under AB939
and an extensive public information campaign by Western Waste Industries. 50%
of the revenue from the sale of recyclables in excess of the first $0.50 per unit per
momh shall be paid to City by Western Waste Industries.

Section 2. This resolution will take effect only if the electorate of the City of
Lynwood, voting at a Special Municipal Election to be held on November 4, 1997,
approves Proposition B by a two-thirds vote.
tion 3. The City Clerk is directed to certify the passage and adoption of this
Resolution.
