HomeMy Public PortalAboutPAGE 106106 REGT LA.R 'MEETING November 1,1926 A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Ault was called to order by Mayor—Protempore Sivers at 8:00 P.M. on the above date. Upon roll call the following members were found present, Anderson , Hasbrouck, Peterson, Smith and Young. Absent none. The minutes of the preceeding, meeting were read and approved as read. Mr Beckmon was pr s-: nt and asked permission to keep open the lunch room in his pool hall on Sunday. This was discussed at length, the Board dec idir? g to give Mr. Beckmon this privelege so long as he conducted this business in a respectible manner. The matter of tax levy for the year was discussed. Hasbrouck moved, Young seconded that the following resolution be adopted. Be it resolved and ordered by the Board of Trustees of the Tows of Ault, that there be and is hereby levied for; General pourposes 3.5 mills 1638.38 Interest 4. mills .1872.45 Payment of Bonds 5.5 mills 2574.60 Special Improvements 3.5 mills 1638.38 Total T6.5 mins .$ The assessed valuation for the Year 1926 was 468,110.00. All present voted Aye. Mr. Curry reported that, upon orders from Mr. Sivors, he had notified the owner s of broken sidewalks to have them repaired at once. The Condit 7lop of certain cesspools was discus ° ed. This a } turned over to Mr. Curry. The Board decided to rent Mr. Venable the old fire house for a chicken coop providing that he did not do any dressin of poultry on the lots. Smith moved, Anderson seconded that a deed'to lot 6 in section 7 of block 3 in the Ault Cemetery be given. to Frank Lesley of Ft. Lupton, Co -o. All pres— ent voted Aye. Sivers reported that the police light had been in operation for about two weeks. The following bills having been checked and approved by the finance comm— ittee ware road. Smith seconded t psis motion. All present voted Aye. The applicat_on of C.E.Syes to pipe water thru his peter into his new garage was discussed at length. This was turned. over to the w_ter works committee to act upon as they sea fit. A letter from Mrs. Capehart in regard to the condition of her building next to the Ault Booster was read.
