BUSINESS ENTERPRLSES 1N TI~ LYNWOOD PARKING AND BUSINESS
IhiPROVEMENT AREq FOR FISCAL YEAR 1997-98 AND SElTING A TASE AND
PLACE OF A PUSLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER SUCFI A CHARGE

ieplaced with the~ukmg and Business Improvement Acea Lw of 1989 (Califomia Sa~eets eud Fiighvvays
Cade Seceons 36500, et ug.) (the "Lw"). wLich provides that evQy impmvemrnt nsa atablished prior
to )anuary 1, 1990, in ucordance with the Puking snd Buaiaas Impmvement pRa Lw of 1979 is valid
and effecdve and is uasffee[ed by t6e :epeal of that law; and

fees, charg« or taxu imposed by tLe Ciry, m levy and wllect a charge (asaa~mt) m an amo~mt equal to
50°h of the buamas licenu tax psyabk by every busmeas enoecprise d~umg fiscal year 1997-98. This
charge (asses~ent) is ~t pmposed to mecease from the ohuge (assessmeut) levied and collected 'm Sscal
year 1996~97. 1Le cLarge ia due and psyable at the aame time and 'm the aame manner that the business
license tsx is paid and is aubject to the ~ penalties and 'mterest for noapay~nt.
