A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COiTNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO STANDARD PACIFIC,
INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $245,000.00, FOR THE MERVYN
DYMALLY CONGRESSIONAL PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT,
' BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT NUMBER 5-5173, FISCAL
YEAR 1997-98, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Mervyn Dymally Congressional Pazk Improvement Project, Building
Improvements, Project Number 5-5173 is scheduled for completion during FY 1997-98; and
WHEREAS, the Mervyn Dymally Congressionai Improvement Project Building
Improvements Project is funded by the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space
District funds; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on August 12, 1997, and Standard Pacific,
Inc., was the lowest responsible bidder at $245,000.00; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the necessary
experience for this type of project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the Mervyn Dymally Congressional Park
~ Improvement Project, Building Improvements, Project Number 5-5173, be awarded to Standard
Pacific, Inc. for its low bid of $245,000.00.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement between
the City of Lynwood and Standard Pacific, Inc.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
