Call to Order Tom Boyd, Chair, called the meeting of the Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) to order at 10:10 A.M. at Banning City Hall Civic Center, 99 East Ramsey, Large Conference Room, Banning, CA. 2. Approval of Minutes — October 15, 2007 Mark Greenwood requested that the attendance record reflect that he was in attendance at the September 17, 2007 meeting, not his alternate, Alana Townsend as shown in the minutes. M/S/C (Lee/Harry) to approve the September 17, 2007 minutes with the modification noted above. Abstain: Tim Wassil, City of Indian Wells 4. Public Comments There were no public comments. 5. Local Assistance Report The local assistance report was delivered by Sean Yeung. There are two calls for projects. Completed applications for the Bicycle Transportation Account for FY 2007/08 are due to Caltrans by December 3, 2007. Additional information is available on the Caltrans Local Assistance website. The second project call is the State Safe Route to Schools (SR2S). It is currently in its 7`h cycle since 1999 and applications are due by November 16, 2007. Also announced were four upcoming training sessions. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Administrators' Summit will take place in San Diego on October 25-26, 2007. This class is not sponsored by Caltrans it is offered by California Project Connection for $120.00. For more information, visit www.caproiectconnection.orq. Developing Context Sensitive Solutions for California is a free (for public transportation agencies) two day workshop held all over Califomia. Locally, it is being offered in Los Angeles on November 13-14, 2007 and San Diego on January 9-10, 2008. Additional information can be found at www.techtransfer.berkelv.edu/contextsensitive/. The Local Assistance Federal Aid Training Course has classes from October, 2007 to spring 2008. FHWA is
