A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING THE REHABILITATION OF THE MAIN
CITY HALL BUILDING ROOF, AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY
MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY
APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER
WHEREAS, the roof of the main City Hall building has
deteriorated to the point that a complete rehabilitation is
required; and
WHEREAS, normal business operations cannot be
effectively conducted in the main City Hall building during heavy
rain storms due to numerous leaks; and
WHEREAS, water damage to ceiling, carpets and documents
has occured and there is a danger of further damage to electrical
equipment and computers; and
WHEREAS, this necessary roof rehabilitation is not
listed in FY 1992-93 budget; and
WHEREAS, this work is estimated to cost $80,000.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council approve the
rehabilitation of the main City Hall building roof, and the
Director of Public Works is authorized to solicit bids for said
work.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is
authorized to make the following appropriation and transfer:

Unappropriated Fund Balance Project 5-5148
$80,000 $80,000
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of
January 1993.
