Leesburg’s 2015 Business Award Nominees Announced
Leesburg, VA (May 4, 2015) – The Town of Leesburg is pleased to announce the nominees for
the 14th annual Leesburg Business Awards. Award recipients will be revealed at the awards
ceremony and reception at 6:00pm on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at the Tally Ho Theatre (19
West Market Street) in downtown Leesburg.
“We received a great group of nominees this year,” said Marantha Edwards, Economic
Development Director for the Town of Leesburg. “I know it’s a cliché, but being nominated by a
customer or a colleague is an honor and speaks to the quality of the business. All of the
nominees should be proud of their accomplishments. I look forward to announcing the awards
winners next week!”
The nominees are:
Ambassador Award - Celebrates a business or organization that promotes a positive image of
Leesburg as a business location or tourist destination.

The George C. Marshall Award - Celebrates an individual who has demonstrated an exemplary
commitment to the community above and beyond business contributions.

In addition to the above awards, the Rising Star Award, which celebrates a Leesburg business
that has been in operation for less than one year and has set itself apart from other businesses
through exemplary achievements, will be announced at the awards ceremony. The Rising Star
Award recipient is chosen by the Leesburg Economic Development Commission.
The 14th annual Leesburg Business Awards ceremony and reception will be at 6:00pm on
Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at the Tally Ho Theatre. To RSVP, email Mary Frye at
