RESOLUTION APPROVING FUNDS FOR THE ANNUAL
RIVERDALE FIREFIGHTER APPRECIATION DINNER
WHEREAS, the Riverdale Fire Department (RFD) has allocated $1,500 for `RFD Appreciation' in chart of
accounts line item 001-150-6491; and,
WHEREAS, the RFD wishes to recognize and honor its volunteer firefighters with an annual dinner; and,
WHEREAS, the RFD anticipates this expense to be no more than $1,500; and,.
WHEREAS, per Resolution 2022-94, Resolution Setting a Policy for Certain Public Purpose Activities,
passed on November 22, 2022, the expenditure of public funds for employee and volunteer recognition
in excess of $250 requires Council approval;
WHEREAS, the RFD seeks Council approval for this expenditure.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERDALE, IOWA,
THAT:
SECTION 1: The Riverdale Fire Department (RFD) is authorized to utilize up to $1,500 in chart of
accounts line item 001-150-6491 for an appreciation dinner in FY23.
