A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND THE
~ LYNWOOD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP FOR CRIME PREVENTION
PROGRAMS UNDER THE LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK
GRANTS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City is a recipient of the federal funds under the Local Law Enforcement
Block Grants Program (LLEBG Program) ; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the LLEBG Program is to provide local governments with
funds to underwrite projects to reduce crime and improve public safety; and
WHEREAS, the legislation requires each direct award recipient to establish an advisory
board and hold at least one public hearing prior to the expenditure of program funds; and
WHEREAS, the City Council designated the Lynwood Community Partnership (LCP) as
the advisory board and the City Council approved the LCP's recommendation to award the LCP
$100,000 to implement crime prevention programs after conducting a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the LCP has submitted to the City a list of crime prevention programs to be
funded under the LLEBG Program funds;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER AS FOLLOW:
, SECTION 7. That the City Council approves that certain Agreement for crime
prevention programs under the Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program, between the City
of Lynwood and the Lynwood Community Partnership, in the form presented to this meeting.
SECTION 2. That the Ciry Councit authorizes the Mayor to sign the Agreement.

SECTION 3. This Resolution is effective immediately upon its adoption.
