PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, the Pleasant Valley High School boys 3A wrestling team, led by head coach Jacob Larsen, is a
member of the Mississippi Athletic Conference; and,
WHEREAS, the PVHS boys wrestling team finished the season in 13th place at Individual State with 78
points, first place in District 7 with 203.5 points, and 16-6 dual meet record, 2'd in MAC Duals, 3rd in
Individual MAC; and,
WHEREAS, team members Ashton Wisneski (113 pounds), Carter Siebel (120 pounds), Caden Ervin (126
pounds), Holden Willett (138 pounds), Jack Miller (152 pounds), and Ike Swanson (160 pounds) were
state qualifiers for the 2022/2023 wrestling season; and,
WHEREAS, Rusty VanWetzinga (220 pounds) placed 5th, Duncan Harn (132 pounds) placed 6th, and Joey
VanWetzinga (285 pounds) placed 7th for the season; and,
WHEREAS, Caden McDermott (170 pounds), whose 2022/2023 record stands at 48-1, earned the state
championship in his weight class.
THEREFORE, be it resolved that I, Kevin Adams, Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, do hereby
proclaim March 28th as

in Riverdale, and encourage staff, residents, and visitors to join me in congratulating the PVHS boys
wrestling team for their hard work, dedication, and achievements.
