–Projects will improve air quality, economic
vitality, provide adequate matching funds
and begin construction by 2013
Project Highlights (Projected 2030)
•Grade Separations
–Stops 160 tons of air pollutants and 315 tons of
greenhouse gases
–Reduces doubling of gate crossing times of 2,984
minutes
–Reduces 385% increase in auto/truck traffic delay
resulting from a 62% increase in rail traffic and a 53%
increase in vehicular traffic
–Connects the Alameda Corridor with the Ports of LA
& LB –improves efficiencies for distributing
estimated $300 billion worth of trade
