APPLIANCE RECYCLING DAY RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Board of the Grand County Solid Waste Management
Special Service District Number One finds that recycling steel
saves energy and natural resources; and
WHEREAS, the 1994 appliance recycling rate was estimated to be
more than 61%; and
WHEREAS, all appliances contain recycled steel and are
recyclable when they have reached the end of their useful lives,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the
City of Moab, Utah will support and promote the collection of
appliances for recycling on April 22 and 29, 1995 in Grand County,
Utah.
