A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
A[JTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CTI'Y OF LYNWOOD AND
QUEEN BEACH PRINTERS, INC. FOR PRINTING SERVICES
~ WHEREAS, as a result of the concern to have more printed information
disseminated to the Lynwood community, Lynwood'n Perspective has been pubiished
for nearly four years; and
WHEREAS, Lynwood 'n Perspective features timely information about city
services, programs and events that is beneficial to the entire community; and
WHEREAS, Queen Beach Printers, Inc. has printed the City's monthly newsletter
for fiscal yeaz 1996/97; and
WHEREAS, the agreement with Queen Beach Printers, Inc., required printing the
newsletter at a cost not to exceed $27,180.00 for 12 issues;
WHEREAS, it is stipulated in the agreement that if the City is satisfied with the
printing services of Queen Beach Printers, Inc. the contract can be extended for an
additional yeaz based on staff recommendation; and
WHEREAS, staff has found the services of Queen Beach Printers, Inc. to be
exempl ar~! =nd recommends a contract extension for fiscal yeaz 1997/98, not to extended
$27,180,00 for 12 issues; and
~ WHEREAS, funds for these services must be transferred from the General Fund
to Lynwood Information Incorporated.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve, order and determine as
follows:
Section 1. The City Council does hereby authorize extending the existing
agreement between the City of Lynwood and Queen Beach Printers, Inc. for prinring of
the City monthly newsletter for a total cost not to exceed $27,180.00.
Section 2. The City Council does hereby authorize the transfer of funds from
the General Fund to Lynwood Information Incorporated for this purpose.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
