A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
THE ADMINISTERING AGENCY-STATE AGREEMENT
~ N0.07-5250, AS MODIFIED ON 11/29/95, AND ALL
PERTINENT PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT AGREEMENTS FOR
FEDERAL-AID PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has enacted the Intermodal Surface
Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA) of 1991 to fund programs which include, but are not
limited to, the Surface Transportation Program (RSTP), the Congestion Mitigation and Air
Quality Improvement Program (CMAQ), the Transportation Enhancement Activities Program
(TEA), and~ the Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program (HBRR); and
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California has enacted legislation by
which certain Federal funds (RSTP and CMAQ) may be made available for use on local
transportation facilities of public entities qualified to act as recipients of these federal funds in
accordance with the intent of Federal law; and
WHEREAS, certain amount of RSTP funds has been apportioned to the City of
Lynwood (the City), and City Council has appropriated these funds for certain street
improvement projects; and
, VJHEREAS, to receive the reimbursement of said funds the City is required to
execute the Administering Agency-State Agreement No. 07-5250, as modified on 1 ll29/95, and
the Program Supplement Agreement for each specific project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood as follows:
Section i. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Administering Agency-
State Agreement No. 07-5250, as modified on ll/29/95.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the individual Program
Supplement Agreement for all projects funded by RSTP funds.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
