A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE AND
ABANDON FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES THAT PORTION OF
ALLEYS BOUNDED BY IMPERIAL HIGHWAY, LOS FLORES
BOULEVARD, LINDEN STREET AND ATLANTIC AVENUE AS
SHOWN IN EXHIBIT A.

WHEREAS, portions of alleys bounded by Imperial Highway, Los Flores
Boulevard, Linden Street and Atlantic Avenue as shown in exhibit A are being proposed for
vacation; and
WHEREAS, the public interest, necessity and convenience require City Council
to vacate and abandon said alleys; and
WHEREAS, said alleys, as above described, is shown on the official map of the
City of Lynwood, at the office of the City Clerk of said City, to which all parties interested are
referred for particulars as to the proposed vacation and abandonment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council elects to proceed in said vacations and
abandonment under Section 8300 to 8324, inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood as follows:
' Section 1: Hereby determines that the public convenience and necessity require
that an easement be retained for construction and maintenance of utility lines within the limits of
the aileys to be vacated as described in herein that portion of alleys as shown on the tract No.
9337, in the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of California, Map Book 130, pages
61-63 of Maps in the office of the Los Angeles Recorder, more specifically described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of lot 8, thence S84° OT 10" E 100.58' along
the northerly tine of the alley, thence N 57° 10' l0E 15.64' to the easterly line of lot 9, thence
along said easterly line N 18° 43' 30" E 126.91' to the southerly right-of-way line of Imperial
Highway (100' wide), thence S 84° OT 10" E 20.51' to the westerly line of Lot 2, thence S 180
43' 30" W 157.40', thence N 84° 07' 10" W 20.51' to a point on the elongation of easterly line
of lot 6, thence S 18° 43' 30" W 10.02', then N 32° 41' S0" W 12.47' to the northerly line of lot
6, thence N 84° 07' 10" W 95.48' to the Northwest corner of lot 7, thence N 4° 38' S6' E 20' to
the point of beginning.
Section 2: Directs the CiTy Clerk of the City of Lynwood to give and post, as
required by law, Notice of Passage of this Resolution of Intention, and give therein the legal
description of said alley proposed to be vacated and abandoned, and specify the time and place of
hearing of this Resolution of Intention, which is hereby fixed as follows:
, The hearing to be, before the City Council of the City of Lynwood, at 11330
Bullis Road, in the City Council Chambers of the City of Lynwood at the hour of 7:30 p.m. on
November 4, 1997 at which time and place all persons interested may appear and object or
protest to the proposed vacation and abandonment of said alley. If the City Council finds from
the evidence submitted that the alleys is unnecessary for present or prospective use, it may make
its order vacating all or part of the alleys.
Section 3: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
