A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD RELATING TO THE EMERGENCY
REPAIRS OF THE DAMAGED SECTION OF SEWER LINE
ON ABBOTT ROAD BETWEEN FRACAR AVENUE AND
ALEXANDER AVENUE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY
MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY
~ FUND APPROPRIATIONS AND TRANSFERS
WHEREAS, staff became aware of a deteriorated section of a
sewer line on Abbott Road between Fracar Avenue and Alexander Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, in order to maintain safe operation of the sewer
system, staff shall solicit contractual services to immediately
repair the damaged sewer line; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood Municipal Code, Section 6-3.13
allows for informal bid for emergency purchases; and
WHEREAS, repairs for this damaged sewer line is estimated
to cost $30,000; and
WHEREAS, this sewer line repair cost was not anticipated in
the Sewer Division FY 1997-98 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order, and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood
approves the emergency repairs of the sewer line located on Abbott
' Road between Fracar Avenue and Alexander Avenue as allowed by Section
6-3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal Code.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee
is authorized to make the following funds appropriation and transfer:

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
