HomeMy Public PortalAbout97-186 (10-21-97)RESOLUTION NO. 97_186 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITy pg LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING TO ASCERTAIN WHETHER A NUI$p,NCE IS BEING MAINTAINED ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND WHETHER THE CITY BUSINESS LICENSE No. 8750 SHOULD BE REVOKED, COMMONLY KNOWN AS 12601 HARRIS AVENUE, AND IDENTIFIED AS TAX ASSESSOR'S BOOK NO. 6186, PAGE 020, LOT 018. WHEREAS, the City Mana er of the Cit ' recommended that the Cit g Y of Lynwood has within the Cit Y Council find that certain premises existing business fis ope ~at d i n suchl at wa ed and that the revocation of the City Business License; and Y as to require a Lynwood Mun cR pal Codetain procedures are set forth in the which violations of theSCode~ma 3-13 and 4-9.5, pursuant to Council; and Y be considered by the City WHEREAS, the conditions on this property that may constitute a nuisance and justify revocation of the business license are: 1• Excessive amount of calls to the law enforcement agency regarding illicit activities being conducted at the site. 2. Unsupervised congregation of minors, drinking and terrorizing the neighboring residents. 3• Surrounding area is currently being used by several gang members for conducting illegal sales and drinking in public. , 4• Inoperable vehicles maintained for long period of time at rear of business. 5• Junk, trash, debris, mattresses and packing materials scattered throughout the site. 6• Trash bin visible from the public right-of-way, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood resolves as follows: Section 1. ~_ Based upon the above referenced facts and the recommendation of the City Manager, this Council finds and determines that the following described property and business may presently be maintained and operated in such manner as to constitute a nuisance and to justify revocation of the business license. Such property is described as Lot 18 Book No. 6186, Page 020 and commonly known as 12601 Harris Avenue, City of Lynwood. Section 2. conditions coul~ated include~ds by which these nuisance but are not limited to: ' 1• Revocation of business license #8750 issued to Summer L. Luciano for Aikin~s Market at 12601 Harris Avenue in the City of Lynwood. 2• Upon obtaining an entry and abatement warrant, if needed, board up all points of entries to the site to prevent site to be used as a gathering place. 3. Remove from premise all inoperable vehicles. 3. Remove, properly dispose and maintain site free of all junk, trash and debris.
