RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING WELCH'S UNIFORM TO
CONTINUE PROVING UNIFORM SERVICES ON A
MONTH-TO -MONTH BASIS AND AUTHORIZE STAFF TO
PREPARE AND BID OUT THE UNIFORM SERVICE
CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the employee's Memorandum of Understanding provides for
City supplied uniform services to the employees of the City's maintenance divisions;
and
WHEREAS, on September 20, 1994, the City Council awarded a three
year contract to Welch's Uniform Rental; and
WHEREAS, this contract has now expired and needs to be renewed; and
WHEREAS, in order to prepare bid packages and advertising for the
contract, etc, it is more advantages to have Welch's Uniform Services continue to
provide uniform services on a month-to-month basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That authorizes Welch's Uniform to continue to provide
uniform services on a month-to-month basis.
SECTION 2. That staff is authorized to proceed with the preparation of
specification, bid packages, advertising, etc. for the uniform services contract.
