RESOLUTION NO. 83 -2134
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR
ANNEXATION NO. LD 83 -1 TO THE CITY -WIDE
LIGHTING DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City has formed a City -Wide Lighting
District pursuant to the requirements of Article 4, Chapter 1 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, the Landscape
and Lighting Act of 1972, and
WHEREAS, the City proposes an annexation of an area to the
City -Wide Lighting District to be know as Annexation No. LD 83 -1,
generally comprised of those properties fronting on the east side
of Santa Anita Avenue from Live Oak Avenue to Grand Avenue within
the unincorporated territory of Los Angeles County, and
WHEREAS, the Annexation requires an Engineer's Report,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The following work is to be done within the
Annexation:
1. Maintenance and servicing of Street Lighting
2. Any and all work and materials appurtenant thereto.
In addition, said Annexation is to be formed to levy and collect
assessments for said work.
SECTION 2. Dwight F. French is hereby directed to prepare a
report pursuant to Article 4, Chapter 1, Division 15 of the California
Streets and Highways Code for the annexation of territory to the
City -Wide Lighting District.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1st day of February, 1983.
