New Board (Cont) April 12,1927
Graveling the streets, chang ein . the posts at intersections, building
curb and gutters, fixing the R.R. Park and laying new sidewalks were
included in this discussion.
Town Clean up day was mentioned. Hasbrouck moved, Newman seconded that
Saturday May 7th be designated as Town Clean up day. All present voted
Aye moved,

A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the eTown of Ault, was
called to order by Mayor Anderson at 8:00 P.M. on the above date.
Upon roll call the following members were found present, Hasbrouck,
'McIntyre, Newman, an, Peterson and Young. Absent 8iverss
The minutes of the preeceedi.ng meeting ware read and approved as read.
Mr. Te gtmann asked that the Board appoint Mr. Janssen as special
park police to have jurisdiction over the park only. The hoard decided
to grant this privilege.
Yr. Newnan reported that a petition had been circulated amoune the
property owners on man. street asking for pavein7g, and that the property
owners had meet x ith Mr. Gelder an engineer from Greeley and that Mr.
Gelder had agreed to make a preliminary survey to deterrine tie approxi-
mate cost for each property owner, free of charge.
A letter and . form of contract from Er. Gelder was reed.. No action taken.
McIntyre reported that r pr s ;at ives from the Portland Cement Co. and
the New Mexico Consrtuction Co. interviewed him and some of the other
members in regard to the materials to be used in construction of paveing.
The petition submitted by Mr. Clark of the Cement Co. was read. The pave-
ment in general was discussed at length. The Board favored Portland Cement.
The Mayor then acre of the condition ef the strets in front of :etzger
and i' wei i.s and asked that the Street aid. Alley com ittee tare, these maters
in charge and also t'tonsicyer the proposition of Ed. Curti to take care of
the water that drains south on Second A144436 for his water rent .
Hasbrouck rape_ rted that Newman and he had made a survey from the corner
of Second Avenue and B Street to the State Highway and decided that the
water could be run East into the Barrell pit of the e highway.. Tt....s propositi-
on was discussed. Gravelin was mentioned. These things were turned over to
the Street and. Alley committee.
r. licntyre reported that Mr. Quayle had asked that the Town discontinue
to charge. the School Dist. the outsice service charge on water, and that
the Town also cut down somo of the trees do the park that were obstructin ;
the. view from the high school. No action was taken on either of these
requests.

Young moved, Peterson seconded that the bills be allowed as read and
warrants is drawn on the Treasurer for the same. All present voted Aye.
The Clerk was asked to grade some logs next to Westphais for tennis
courts for the Boy Scouts.
The condition of the Cemetery road was discussed. The Park and Cemetery
committee were asked to see about puting in a tile in this road♦
