A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ENGAGE THE SERVICES
OF A TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO CONDUCT TRAFFIC IMPACT
STUDIES ON THE EFFECTS OF THE NEW LYNWOOD HIGH
SCHOOL ON THE SURROUNDING AREAS, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR OR HIS DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY FUNDS
APPROPRIATIONS AND TRANSFERS
WHEREAS, the new Lynwood High School is scheduled to be opened in the spring
of 1998; and
WHEREAS, City Council requested a traffic study be done to assess to traffic
impacts on the surrounding areas caused by said high school; and
WHEREAS, said study requires the services of a traffic engineer; and
WHEREAS, said services are estimated to cost $10,000; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified available funds that can be used for this study.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,

proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That staff is authorized to engage the services of a traffic engineer to
conduct said study.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to make the
following funds appropriations and transfers:

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
