A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD RELATING TO THE EMERGENCY REPAIRS OF
THE FIRE ENGINE 311, SNORKEL iTNIT, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE
NECESSARY FUND APPROPRIATIONS AND TRANSFERS
WHEREAS, Fire Engine 311 suffered major engine damage on December 20, 1997; and

WHEREAS, repairs for Fire Engine are estimated to cost $25,000; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the CiTy of Lynwood does hereby find, proclaim,

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.

WHEREAS, in order to continue to provide the residents of Lynwood fire prevention services,
staff solicited contractual services to immediately start repairs on Fire Engine 311; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood Municipal Code, Section 6-3.13a allows for emergency repairs
to be done expeditiously; and
WHEREAS, this engine repair cost was not anticipated in the Garage Division FY 1997-98
Budget.
order, and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the emergency repairs to Fire
Engine 311 as allowed by Section 6-3.13a of the Lynwood Municipal Code.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to make the following funds
appropriation and transfer:
General Fund Gazage Division Fund
Unappropriated Fund Balance Acct. 08-4451-4210
