A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PURCHASE NEEDED
MATERIALS SUPPLIES, AND SERVICES THROUGH AN
INFORMAL BID PROCESS FOR THE ARTERIAL FACADE
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the Arterial Facade Improvement Project, is scheduled for
construction during FY 1997-98; and
WHEREAS, the project encompasses the repainting of buildings, removal of
obsolete business signs, installation of new business signs, etc. in order to eliminate blighted
conditions along the City's arterial streets; and
WHEREAS, the arterial Facade improvement Project can be implemented more
economically and expeditiously using an informal bid process to purchase needed materials,
supplies and services; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6-3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal Code, Council
authorize purchases through informal bids by a 4/5 vote.
WHEREAS, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby

find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That staff is authorized to purchase the needed materials, supplie~ and
services to complete the Arterial Facade Improvement Project through an informal bid procedure.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
