Loudoun Street Improvements Resume Construction on
Sunday, May 10, 2015
Work will be at night, Loudoun Street traffic between Church Street
and the East End Triangle may be detoured to Market Street and
Harrison Street during work hours
Leesburg, VA (May 6, 2015) – At 8:00pm on
Sunday, May 10, 2015, construction will
resume on street improvements to
Loudoun Street, between Church Street and
the East End Triangle, in downtown
Leesburg. This project is part of Phase 2 of
the Downtown Improvement Project.
During this phase of construction, new brick
sidewalks, street trees and a stone wall
along the sidewalk over Town Run will be
installed. In addition, the pavement on
Loudoun Street will be resurfaced.
All work will be done at night, between the hours of 8pm to 6am, Sunday through Thursday.
During these work hours, Loudoun Street may be closed between Church Street and the East
End Triangle. During these closures, traffic will be detoured onto Mar ket Street and Harrison
Street. Loudoun Street will be open to traffic during the day and on weekends. Access to the
Loudoun County Government Center Parking Garage will not be affected.
