YounE, second this motion also. All present voted Aye. The paveing petition was again discussed at length. It was decided that the Street and Alley corn? tee should d not present the tre r t � 11 U. final « s- �,, t i t :i O or signing to the property owners, but that it should. be turned . over to some of the property owners not on the Board for circulation. The Street and Alley comittee was appointed to secure some property owners to circulate, the petition. Young moved, McIntyre seconded that the Meeting adjourn subject to the call of the Mayor. All present voted Aye;. Town Clerk REGULAR MEETIG one 7th, 1927 A regular meeting of the Board. of Truster of the Town of Ault ,was called to or ler by Mayor Anderson at 8:00 P.M. on the above date. Upon roil call the ±o_lo winz mehbers were found present, McIntyre, Newman, Paterson, Sivers and Young. Absent Hasbrouck. The :minutes of the preaeeding meeting were read and approved as reap. A form of contract from the Weiland Engineering Co. was read. No action taken. The Mayor then spoke of the good work of the Street & Alley committee and praised the work of 1r. Tegtmann in handel ing soma cases lately. fir. Peterson reported that the power lawn mower was being repaired and .that it was delaying the progress on the park. Mr. Newman reported that the Street and Alley committee had ent..re " into an agreement with Ed. Curtis to take care o , the water that drains south on Second Avenue for $25.00 per Year.. 1�a �`r. Newman moved that this agreement be accepted by the Board and placed in the minutes. Peterson seconded this motion. All present' voted Ate. Mr, Burman was present and presented elpet it ion signed by 51% of the property owners on First Street asking for paveing. He asked that the Board accept this petition and draft an Ordinance creating a paveing district in these two blocks. This question was discussed at length. It seemed to be the Boards opinion that the petition be regected. until 7* of the property owners coulA be signed.up. Mr. Burman stated that in -his opinion it was imposeible eo obtain 75% signers because of so many non- resident property owners, and that he did not care to circulate the peti- tion to obtain this per can's. Mr. Johnson, an engineer of the Portland Cement Co., was preset and gave the Board some advise in regard to calling a protest meeting. Iva. Bowman was also present and explained the preliminary survey made by the Greeley ' engineer, Mr. Gelder. He stated that it was his opinion that some nJVw walks would have to be put in on the north side of the street. Young moved that the Board accept. the petition and that notice of a protest meeting be posted. P teson seconded this motion. After. some dis- cussion by the -Board and advise from Mr. Johnson and Mr. Bowman, Mr. Young withdraw his motion.. Mr. Young than moved that the Board taken no action on this petition for thirty days and that the petition be returned to Yr. Burman for further circulation. Newman seconded. this motion.
