A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING
THE APPROPRIATION OF ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED
GENERAI. FUND BALANCE FOR 1997/98 FOR THE FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES RELATIVE TO
PROGRAMMING FOR THE LYNWOOD CITIZEN OF THE MONTH PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Citizens of Lynwood provide volunteer service to their fellow citizens
through tnany different ways: and
WHEREAS, the Citizen of the Month Program provides for an exciring and innovative
methodology by which to both idenrify, and then to aclmowledge, citizens of our community who provide
ouutanding service to their fellow citizens; and
WHEREAS, the completed and reviewed Nomination Applicarions would be refeaed to
a committee for processing; and
WHEREAS, the Citizen of the Month would be recognized and awazded at a regularly
schedu(ed meeting of the Mayor and Members of the CiTy Council; and
WHEREAS, staff has determined that fees will be attached to services rendered for
various programs associated with the presentation of "Lynwood Citizen of the Month."

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood authorize the City Manager or his designee to
execute all necessary fmancial activities reladve to this resolurion.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the following transfer:

Section 3. This resolution shall become effecrive immediately upon its adopfion.
