A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING THE REMOVAL OF DEAD,
DYING AND UNSTABLE TREES IN LYNWOOD AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER HIS DESIGNEE TO
MAKE THE NECESSARY FUND APPROPRIATIONS AND
TRANSFERS
WHEREAS, staff has identified approximately 120 trees citywide that are
dead, dying and/or unstable; and
WHEREAS, recent rains and winds increase the risk of having these trees
fall; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost to remove 120 trees is approximately

$60,000; and
WHEREAS, the removal of these trees was not anticipated and funds for
this project are not included in the FY 1997-98 budget; and
WHEREAS, a funds appropriation and transfer is needed to proceed with
the removal of these trees.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order, and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the removal of the dead, dying and unstable trees in the
City is approved.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to make
the following funds appropriation and transfer:

Unappropriated Fund Balance Acct. 05- 5203
$60,000 $60,000
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
