A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE SOUTH SIDE
OF WALNUT AVENUE FROM BULLIS ROAD TO SPRUCE STREET
WHEREAS, area residents have complained about vehicle
passing problems along this section of Walnut Avenue; and
WHEREAS, a traffic engineering investigation was
conducted and area residents were contacted regarding the traffic
problem; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood Traffic and Parking
Commission reviewed the item at it's meeting on February 26,
1998; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to maintain City
streets safe and uncongested; and
WHEREAS, it is common practice to prohibit parking on
' narrow streets to maintain the free flow of traffic.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood as follows:
Section 1. That Parking be prohibited on the south
side of Walnut Avenue from Bullis Road to Spruce Street and that
"No Parking at Anytime" signs be installed.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of
March , 1998.
