RESOLUTION NO. 83 -2140
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY ORDERING ANNEXATION NO. LD 83 -1
TO THE CITY -WIDE LIGHTING DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City did on
the 1st day of February, 1983, adopt its Resolution of Intention,
No. 83 -2136, to order Annexation No. LD 83 -1 to the City -Wide
Lighting District, which Resolution of Intention No. 83 -2136 was duly
and legally published in the time, form and manner as required by law,
shown by the Affidavit of Publication of said Resolution of Intention,
on file in the Office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, after the adoption thereof notice of the passage of
said Resolution of Intention, headed "PUBLIC NOTICE" was duly and
legally posted in the time, form, manner, location and number as
required by law, as appears from the Affidavit of Posting said
Notice, on file in the Office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, on Tuesday, February 15, 1983, at 7:30 p.m., a public
hearing was conducted by the Temple City City Council relative to
Annexation No. LD 83 -1 to the City -Wide Lighting District, at which
public hearing evidence was presented, both oral and documentary
concerning the jurisdictional facts in this proceeding and the
necessity for the contemplated work of improvement and the benefits
to be derived therefrom; and
WHEREAS, no property owners affected by proposed Annexation
No. LD 83 -1 to the City -Wide Lighting District protested the formation
of the City -Wide Lighting District; and
WHEREAS, there was not a majority protest to said Annexation
No. LD 83 -1 to said Lighting District.
SECTION 1. It is hereby resolved by the City Council of the
City of Temple City that the report filed by the Engineer is hereby
finally approved; and
SECTION 2. Be it further resolved that the public interest and
convenience requires the ordering of the subject Annexation No. LD 83 -1
to the City -Wide Lighting District, as set forth and described in said
Resolution of Intention No. 83 -2136 be done and made; and
SECTION 3. Be it further resolved that the adoption of this
Resolution constitutes the levy of the assessments as set forth in
the Engineer's Report for the fiscal year 1983-84; and
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file a certified copy of the diagram and assessment with the County
Auditor of the County of Los Angeles not later than the third Monday
in August.
