A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR AUDIT SERVICES
BEGINNING WITH FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30,1998
WHEREAS, the term of the audit engagement with Simpson & Simpson, CPA's
ended June 30, 1997; and
WHEREAS, a common practice among cities is to bid audit services every five to
seven yeazs; and
WHEREAS, a new audit firm will allow new personnel to provide a different
perspective and approach in auditing the City's financial records.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Lynwood does hereby find, determine, and
resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes staff to solicit bids for audit services
beginning with fiscal yeaz ending June 3Q 1998.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
