A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY WITHDRAWING ALL TERRITORY LYING WITHIN THE CITY -WIDE
LIGHTING DISTRICT FROM THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY LIGHTING
MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1395 PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS
OF SECTION 19290 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAY CODE OF THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Lighting Maintenance District
No. 1395 was formed under the provisions of Part 4, Division 14 of
I the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the above -named lighting district lies
within the boundaries of the City -Wide Lighting District by reason
of annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 19290 of Part 4 of Division 14
of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, these
portions of the Los Angeles County Lighting Maintenance District
No. 1395 lying within the boundaries of the City -Wide Lighting District
as they existed on February 15, 1983, are hereby withdrawn. The area
to be withdrawn is more specifically described as follows:
Those parcels of land as shown on map of Tract No. 11248,
filed in Book 200, Page 21 of Maps, in the Office of
the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, signified
as Parcel No. 8573- 21 -33, located at 5506 Santa Anita
Avenue, and Parcel No. 8573 -31 -1, located at 5452 Santa
Anita Avenue.
Containing: .436 Acres
.0005 Sq. Mi.
SECTION 2. All property acquired for the District and all unen-
cumbered funds on the date of withdrawal, including all taxes levied
and collected by the Los Angeles County Lighting District in any year
in which taxes are levied and collected by the District shall be divided
between the City -Wide Lighting District and the remaining Los Angeles
County Lighting Maintenance District No. 1395 in proportion to the
assessed value of the real property of the territory so withdrawn and
the portions remaing, in the manner and method prescribed by
Section 19290 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali-
fornia.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file copies of
this resolution with the State Board of Equalization, the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, and the Assessor of the
County of Los Angeles.
