RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL FOR THE REZONING OF ASSESSORS
PARCEL 6189-022-17 (11827 Wright Road) LOCATED
IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA FROM
R-3 (MULTI FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO PRD
(PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT)
' WfIEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, pursuant to law, on April 7, 1998,
held a public hearing on the proposed rezone of Assessor's Pazcel 6189-022-017 (also known as
11827 Wright Road) from the R-3 (Multi Family Residential) zone to the PRD (Planned
Residential Development)R-2 zone; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has cazefully considered all pertinent testimony offered at the
public heazing; and
WHEREAS, the Commission has determined that Planned Residential Development zoning
on this property would be consistent with the goals, policies and residential development
designation of the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Community Development has determined that the proposal
will not have a negative effect on the environment, and has thereby prepared a Negative
Declazation far the project; now therefore
Section 1• The Planning Commission of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and determines
' as follows:
A. A PRD (Planned Residential Development) rezoning of this property would be
compatible with the Goals and Objectives of the General Plan.
B. The property is of a size, shape and location to accommodate the proposed level of
development.
C. The proposed rezoning will not be detrimental to residential properties in the area.
D. The PRD zoning designation is consistent with adjacent development and compatible
with other residential zoning in the immediate azea.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood, based upon the aforementioned
findings and determinations, hereby approves the proposed rezoning for this property to PRD
(Planned Residential Development).
Section 3. A copy of this resolution shall be filed with the City Clerk.
