REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MEDINA
SEPTEMBER 5,1961.
Meeting called to order at $ PM. All council members present.
Minutes of Regular council meetin held August 1,1961 were read.
Motion by Harold Winterhalter to accept minutes as read, Second
by Arens, Motion carried.
Minutes of Special meeting held August 23,1961 were redd.
Motion by Arens to accept minutes as read, second by Gertz,
Motion carried.
Letter from Alfred Merz in regard his resigixing as building
Inspector was read. Motion by Arens to accept Alfred ierz
resignation with regret, Second by Winterhalter, Moxtion carried.
Applications for the position of building inspector were as follows;
Gerald Dykhoff, Herb Gaspar and 0 E Loegering. Gerald Dykhoff was
the only applicant present. Motion by Arens to appoint Gerald
Dykhoff building inspector, sexcond by Winterhalter, Motion Carried.
The clerk announced that the Regional meeting of the League of
Minnesota Municipalities will be held at Usseo on October 3,1961
at 6:30 PM. Motion by Arthur Gertz to hold reguAdr council meeting
on the 2nd of October, second by Arens, motion carried.
Motion by Gertz to hold Rocl}ie Begin check until plat has been
inspected, second by Arens, Motion carried.
Mayor Scott reported that junked autos on Dobozenska property have
been removed.
Notion by Winterhalter to buy a fire extinguiser and tires for the
policg car, second by Arens, motion carried.
Motion by Gertz to adopt an ordinance adopting 1961 amendments to
Minnesota traffic code, second by Winterhalter, Motion carried.
Discussion on the dischaggeing of fire arms in the village was held.
Motion by Winterhalter to Amedd Ordinance number 100 to amend the
legend on the Official District Map of the Village of kedinfia
to show that all the white area on the map now disignated RA, R1,
R2 and RC be changed to RA and R1 only, excepting the North 241 Feet
of the East 449 feet 15.6 the Northeast quarter of the Southwest
quarter of Section 23, Township 118, Range 23, being located at
the Southwest corner of Village Road $$ and County Road 24,
Second by Arens, Motion carried.
Council discussed purchasing memograph machine.

SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MEDINA
SEPTEMBER 12,1961 Held at Lakeview Hall.
Meeting called to order at $:30 by Mayor Scott.
Members of council present, Arens, Scott and Roehl.
Absent Gertz and Winterhalter.
Discussion was held with kirosii rp6rxxXX residents of the beach
area on the blacktopping of beach streets, 26 residents were
present at the meeting. After the discussion a show of hands
was called for and the majority of the people present indicated
they would not want to kiixic black top the streets at this time,
all the people present indicated they wanted to have calcium
chloride applied to the streets next summer.
Meeting adjourned at 10:00 PM
