Upon roll cal.l the following members were found pret r t, Hasbrouck
McIntyre, Newman, Peterson, and Sivers. Absent Young.
The Clerk stated that for .y '' the � et�.�. had bean called the purpose
of appointing a Town Clerk from the applications submitted,since his
resignation had been accepted.

Starkey,'rere read to the Board.
Savers, moved, Peterson seconded that the Board Vote by ballot and
that, the applicant receiving the highest number of votes be declared
appointed. Hasbrouck suggested that the vote be taken by ballot, and
that_ the• two receivdting the Hi=ghest number of votes be again voted
upon. This was agreed uton. Ballots were distributed and��a cc.:..i t by
McIntyre and Sivers showed four for Mefford and one_ ��� for c '.r ide.
McIntyre moved, seconder by 13 e Jman, that John H♦ Mef±or d be unanimous-
ly appointedTown Clerk, to serve at the will and pleasure of the Board
for the salary of $125.00 per month. The vote was by acclamation, all
voteing Aye. The, Clerk was instructed to notify Mr. Mafford of his
appointment and ask him to report for work as soon as •possible.
'r. Newman brought up the problem of cleaning alleys and vacant lots.
McIntyre moved, .Newman seconded that the meeting aa: turn subject to
the call of the Mayo, All present voted Aye.
