A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF THE DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT
AGREEMENT (D.D.A.) WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY TO DISPOSE OF
CITY OWNED PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEVELOPING A SINGLE
FAMILY HOME TO BE OCCUPIED BY A QUALIFIED FAMILY
WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood owns a ptu•cel of land approximately 3,600
square feet on the northwest corner of Fernwood Avenue and Sante Fe Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity, anon-profit corporation wishes to utilize
the land to develop one single family ,three bedroom house to sell to a low income
family; and
WHEREAS, On May 22, 1993, Habitat for Humanity's proposal was approved
by the Partnership for Affordable Living, (P.A.L.); and
WHEREAS, On May 13, 1993, Habitat for Humanity received development
approval from the City Planning Commission to construct the subject project; and
WHEREAS, All of Habitat for Humauity stuff are volunteers and receive no
compensation for their time, thus enabling the homes which they consnruct to be sold at
price affordable to qua]ified Lynwood family.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of
Lynwood does ordain as follows:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood, based on the
aforementioned findings and determinations hereby adopts this resolution.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1st of June, 1993.
