A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE CITY'S ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY GENERAL RELIEF WORKFARE
SPONSORSHIP PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood finds its best interests
will be served by utilizing workfare project participants in the
provision of certain City and community services; and
WHEREAS, the City must provide the workfare participants
on the job training and supervision and cover the participants
under the City's Workers' Compensation and General Liability
coverage; and
WHEREAS, coverage under the City's Workers' Compensation
and General Liability Program for workfare participants shall be
applicable only during the time the participants actually perform
workfare services in the City sponsored project or assignment at
the location of said city;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood
approve the Los Angeles County General Relief Workfare Project
Sponsorship Agreement.
Section 2. This Resolution shall became effective
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1st day of June ,1993.
