A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING FUNDING FOR THE 1993 JULY 4TH FIREWORKS DISPLAY AND
AUTHORIZATION TO SOLICIT A VENDOR THROUGH INFORMAL BID PROCESS.
Whereas, the City of Lynwood desires to offer a July 4th
fireworks display; and
Whereas, funding for the July 4th fireworks display must be
arranged one month in advance of the 1993-94 fiscal year budget;
E and
Whereas, this funding for an aerial fireworks display would
cost $6,000.00; and
Whereas, the acquisition of this service would be more
economically and efficiently effected through the use of the
informal bid process.
Whereas, City Council by a 4/5 vote can approve funding
through an alternate bid procedure; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1 Funding in the amount of $6,000.00 for the July
4th, 1993 Fireworks Display.
Section 2 Waive the formal bid procedure for the provision of
the July 4, 1993 Fireworks Display.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st da~ne, 1993.
