Leesburg’s AV Symington Aquatic Center Opens For the Season
on Saturday, May 23, 2015
Leesburg, VA (May 20, 2015) –
Leesburg’s AV Symington Aquatic
Center will open for the summer
season on Saturday, May 23,
2015. The Aquatic Center will
have limited hours from May 23
through June 16 and will be open
on Fridays from 4:00pm to
8:00pm, and from 12:00pm to
8:00pm on Saturdays and
Sundays, with Town residents
admitted at 11:00am.
Beginning on Wednesday, June
17, the Aquatic Center will be
open daily from 12:00pm to 8:00pm, with Town residents admitted at 11:00am.
Admission passes are now on sale. Passes can be purchased at the Ida Lee Park Recreation
Center through Friday, May 22, 2015. On Saturday, May 23, 2015, the window at the Aquatic
Center will open at 11:00am and passes may be purchased at the Aquatic Center from then
through the end of the season. Visit www.idalee.org for details on passes, special hours and
daily admission rates.
The AV Symington Aquatic Center is located within Ida Lee Park and features a 600’ lazy river,
large slide tower with two body flumes, drop slide, 25 yard lap lane, two gang slides, water pipe
fall, crossing feature, dumping buckets, little squirt whale, and floating snake, as well as a large
“beach” area with bubblers and water fountains, a concession stand and grass picnic area.
Throughout the summer, a variety of programs and classes will be held in the Aquatic Center. A
