A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS/PROPOSAL
("RFQ") ("RFP") AND BID PROPOSAL IN CONNECTION
WITH THE APPROVED DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT (HUD) TECHNICAL ASSISTANT GRANT
WHEREAS, the City is engaged in carrying out a Technical
Assistance Grant targeted to assist the most disadvantaged Lynwood
residents; and
WHEREAS, the City is seeking to conduct a Comprehensive
Economic Development Study in connection with the grant
administrated by the City; and
WHEREAS, the City is seeking to find the most qualified
Consultant to conduct the Comprehensive Economic Development Study;
and
WHEREAS, the RFQ/RFP process will enable the City to
investigate the most qualified Consultant for the Study; and
WHEREAS, upon completion of the RFQ/RFP process the City may
proceed with a formal contract to conduct the required study;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Lynwood does hereby resolve,
determine and find as follows:
Section 1. The City shall authorize the City Manager to issue
an RFQ/RFP for a period not to exceed 14 days in order to obtain
qualification statements and bid proposals from qualified
Consultants for the project.
Section 2. The City hereby adopts this Resolution and directs
and authorizes the Assistant City Manager to issue an RFQ/RFP
immediately for the subject project.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Lynwood this 6th day of July, 1993.
