A'RESOLUTION OF THS CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION
OF $33,675 TO IMPLEMENT THE RECREATION NETWORK
PROGRAM ("RECNET PROGRAM")
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1992, the City Council directed staff
to conduct a study relative to automated informational kiosk; and
WHEREAS, automated informational kiosks are currently used by
public agencies to disseminate needed information to the public;
and
WHEREAS, the RecNet Program will serve Lynwood residents by
providing them needed information on recreational facilities and
programs within the Los Angeles County.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS
FOLLOW:
SECTION 1. That the RecNet Program will provide needed
information to Lynwood residents on recreational facilities and
programs within the Los Angeles County.
SECTION 2. That the City Council authorizes the appropriation
of $33,675 from the Prop. A Fund and the General Fund to fully
implement the RecNet Program.
SECTION 3. That the City Council approves an informal bid
process for the purchase of the hardware, software and construction
of the kiosk.
