Award-Winning Watercolorist’s Works on Display at Leesburg
Town Exhibit Hall Now Through August 2015
Leesburg, VA (June 1, 2015) – The
Leesburg Commission on Public Art
is pleased to announce an exhibition
of watercolors from the coast of
Maine to the shores of the
Chesapeake including the ancient
fishing villages and blooming
gardens of England on display at
Leesburg Town Exhibit Hall this
summer.
Betty Ganley, an internationally
recognized name in watercolor, is
the recipient of over 80 awards for
her vibrant floral and marine
paintings, receiving “Best of Show”
in many, including at the Village at Leesburg’s inaugural “Artful August” juired art show in
August 2013. Many of her works have been published in art-related magazines as well as major
art books as a result of national and international competitions. Ms. Ganley is also the author of
10 Secret Gardens in Watercolor, part of the Artist’s Projects You Can Paint series.
“The beauty of nature surrounding us never ceases to amaze me. To be able to see our world
through an artist’s eye is a constant joy,” says Ms. Ganley.
The Leesburg Town Exhibit Hall features rotating exhibits by area artists. The LTEH’s next
exhibit will be in September with Leesburg photographer, Thomas Ramsay.
The Leesburg Town Exhibit Hall is open as part of the monthly First Friday celebration of the
arts.
