Coyne, Management Analyst SUBJECT: PLANNING COMMISSION ACTIONS-MEETING OF NOVEMBER 13, 2014 RECOMMENDATION: The City Council is requested to receive and file the Planning Commission (Commission) actions from their meeting of November 13, 2014. BACKGROUND: On November 13, 2014, the Commission held their special meeting. ANALYSIS: The following is a summary of actions taken at the November 13, 2014 meeting: 1. ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioner-Cordes , O'Leary, Vice-Chairman Curran, Chairman Leung Absent: Commissioner-None Excused: Commissioner-Horton 2. CONSENT CALENDAR The Commission approved the minutes from their regular meeting of October 28, 2014. City Council January 6, 2015 Page 2 of 3 3. PUBLIC HEARING A. A REQUEST FOR A TENTATIVE TRACT MAP TO SUBDIVIDE AND CONSTRUCT FIVE (5) CONDOMINIUM UNITS IN THE R-2 ZONE The Commission approved a Tentative Tract Map to develop five condomin ium units at 9913 Lower Azusa Road. The lot is currently improved with one single-family residence. The project consists of five detached two- story condominiums with attached garages. The lot · is zoned R-2, Light Multiple Residential and designated Medium Dens ity Residential by the General Plan. B. A REQUEST FOR A TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP TO ALLOW A LOT SPLIT SUBDIVISION. THE SITE HAS TOTAL LAND AREA OF APPROXIMATELY 19,000 SQUARE FEET, ZONED R-1 AND IS DESIGNATED LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL BY THE GENERAL PLAN The Commission approved a Tentative Parcel Map for a lot split subdivision at 5715 Rowland Avenue to demolish all structures on the property and split the lot into two parcels through the midpoint of the 1 00-foot frontage . Each parcel of the subdivision will have a frontage of 50 feet and a land area of approximately 9,500 square feet. The property is currently improved with a single fami ly residence. C. A REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO INSTALL A TELECOMMUNICATION FACILITY AT 9677 LONGDEN AVENUE. THE TELECOMMUNICATION FACILITY WILL BE MOUNTED WITH 12 PANELS, 24 REMOTE RADIO UNITS, AND ONE BACKHAUL ANTENNA. The Commission approved a Conditional Use Permit to install the Telecommunication facility at 9677 Longden Avenue. The Planning Commission's original decision to approve the application was appealed to the City Council. The City Council remanded the application back to the Planning Commission for further consideration. 4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS -None 5. NEW BUSINESS-None 6. COMMUNICATIONS-None 7. ADJOURNMENT The Commission meeting was adjourned at 9:53 p.m. CONCLUSION: The City Council is requested to receive and file this report. FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2014-15 City Budget.
