A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD ESTABLISHING A DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE POLICY
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE DRUG
FREE WORK PLACE ACT OF 1988
WHEREAS, the federal Drug-Free Work Place Act of 1988
requires all employers who receive federal grants to establish a
policy for a drug-free workplace; and
WHEREAS, the United States
Development Act of 1974, as amended, es
Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program to
a suitable living environment and
opportunities, principally for persons of
and
Housing and Community
~ablished the Community
provide decent housing,
expanding economic
low and moderate income;
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to comply with all HUD
regulations that affect the CDBG Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is a federal grants
recipient and subject to the terms and conditions of the act;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood wishes to set forth its
policy regarding drug-free workplace certification;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
, Section 1. That the attached exhibit, Drug-free
Workplace Policy and Employee Notice is hereby adopted as the
policy of the City of Lynwood.
Section 2. That this policy is effective immediately
upon adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 5th day of
