A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD ESTABLISHING AND ADOPTING A POLICY WHICH
PROHIBITS RECIPIENTS OF FEDERAL CONTRACTS, GRANTS,
AND LOANS FROM USING APPROPRIATED FUNDS FOR
LOBBYING
WHEREAS, the United States Housing and Community
Development Act of 1974, as amended, established the Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program to provide decent housing,
a suitable living environment and expanding economic
opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate
income; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to comply with all HUD
regulations that affect the CDBG Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood wishes to set forth its
policy regarding the prohibition of the use of federal funds for
lobbying;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the attached exhibit, prohibition
against use of appropriated funds for lobbying is hereby adopted
as the policy of the City of Lynwood.
Section 2. That this policy is effective immediately
' upon adoption.
